SAND CEREMONY:
Can be done with the Wedding Couple alone or can include the family:
The Couple seal their union with their sand that surrounds their children in an environment of unconditional love. May this family remain, not dependent upon one another, but interdependent and as colorful as the sands that fill their vessels.
- White: Purity, spiritual values, devotion
- Yellow: Harmony, balance, friendship
- Pink or Red: Love, passion, romance, happiness
- Green: Health, luck, prosperity
- Purple: Power, dignity, strength
- Brown: Nurturing, home and hearth
- Blue: Patience, tranquility, longevity
- Silver: Creativity, talents, inspiration
As you each hold your sand, the separate containers of sand represent your lives to this moment; individual and unique. As you now combine your sand together, your lives also join together as one family.
